A native (state of) New Yorker, I am the son of two loving and caring parents, the brother to an incredibly talented sister, and uncle to two active and inquisitive little boys and a baby niece learning about her world. An average likeable student I was heavily engaged in service, philanthropy, and sports as a high school student. Early on I found different opportunities to give back to my community, but was launched into philanthropy as a freshmen participating in the South High Marathon Dance, currently the longest running and largest high school marathon dance in the country, which I continue to be involved in today. This event also helped me to find my niche as an undergraduate student becoming heavily involved with the SUNY Fredonia Superdance, which sadly no longer exists. That program spawned my interest in involving myself as a facilitator for a leadership development group, a resident assistant, member of the show choir, joining a fraternity, playing on the club field hockey team, and serving as a summer orientation leader. With many of these activities, I had the same advisors who showed me that I could make a career out of these activities and pointed me in the direction of higher education.

My path had led me to have a number of incredible experiences to put in the "interesting fact" box. Some of those include:

• I have jumped from an airplane on Friday, October 13th from 13,000ft.

• I was the leading goal scorer in my club field hockey league for one season.

• I have had my foot in both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans on the same day.

• I have danced The Twist on stage with the actual and legendary Cubby Checker.

• Having the opportunity to run on the warning track at Yankee Stadium.
